MERRY CHRISTMAS
May the peace of Christ fill your heart this Christmas and the new year.
What a joy to celebrate the birthday of Jesus, our Lord and Savior! He is here, our God with us. He is one of us, and shares our destiny.O marvelous exchange! Man's Creator has become man, born of a Virgin. We have been made sharers in the Divinity of Christ, who humbled Himself to share in our humanity. God makes Himself the child of people, and these become the children of God.
It is good to read here some of the texts which express our faith in this regard:
"God sent his own Son, born of a woman... so that we could receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts crying "Abba, Father!" (Gal.4, 4-6)
"See how much the Father has loved us! His love is so great that we are called God's children and so, in fact, we are. My dear friends, we are now God's children" (1Jn.3, 1)
God has indeed become our Father through Jesus, Who made Himself our brother.
In Jesus, God enters into a dialogue with us, for Jesus is the Word of God in human terms. He is human like us, feels with us, speaks our language, grows and goes with us. With the angels we sing him our welcome, with the shepherds we greet Him with joy.
Let us pray to Jesus our Lord that the good news of His coming may warm the hearts of all…That today may be a feast of joy for all our families and for all.
Here's our prayer: Lord Jesus, you are one of us. Help us to become more like you, that we become your joy, as you are ours.
Let us thank and praise the Father in heaven for the gift of His Son to us and to the world.
May the God of infinite goodness fill us with joy and make us heralds of His gospel
